Watch the Big Cat Roar: Tenacious Tony Bullimore’s 102-foot Catamaran Setting Sail For 2009 Antigua Sailing Week
I spoke with Sarah this afternoon. She is well….and has NO blisters to speak of!! Isn’t that great?
Weather not so good today….big , wet waves and rain, ALTHOUGH wind is in good direction.
800 nm on gps so that’s good too.
Sarah Outen has left Fremantle in her bid to become the first, the fastest and the youngest woman to cross the Indian Ocean. 3100 miles, at a speed of about 2 knots, will take her well over 100 days to get to the other side. A long, hard slog.
The Green Blue are keen supporters of Sarah, we recognise ourselves in her. She is fighting against what feels like insurmountable odds and if she doesn’t break the journey down into manageable chunks then it may well overwhelm her. That is exactly what it feels like working on environmental issues. We would like to do everything, when people ask me what my plans are for The Green Blue I always say ‘world domination and no less’ but in reality we have to be careful that we take small bites of the problem so we don’t choke ourselves.
